Instructions For Use
Everything you need to remove and reseat your aligners.
Use the Retainer Removal Hook to take your aligners out cleanly, and Aligner Chewies to help seat them back in fully and evenly against your teeth.
Removing Your Aligners
Use the Retainer Removal Hook to take your aligners out cleanly and gently.
Method
Remove the aligner from back to front, alternating on both sides.
Upper Aligner Removal
Hook the inside of the upper aligner and pull down lightly, alternating on both sides until the aligner is removed.
Lower Aligner Removal
Hook the lower aligner and gently pull up, alternating on both sides until the aligner is removed.
Using Your Aligner Chewies
Seat your aligners fully before use, following the direction of your teeth's long axis. Don't bite down on the chewie until your aligners are completely seated, as this can cause damage or an incorrect fit.
Hold the handle and place the other end between your teeth. Bite gently from one side of your mouth to the other, making sure every tooth is involved. Three shapes are included for different areas of the mouth.
Bite down gently for 10 to 15 minutes to exercise the bite muscle, taking care not to catch your braces.
Every Shape Has a Job
Each pack includes three chewie shapes, designed for different areas of the mouth.
Triangular
Seats the front and premolar teeth using a wedged force. Can also help open small gaps between teeth.
Cylinder
Seats aligners in the molar area, where bite force is greatest. Can also be used to exercise the bite muscles.
Cylindroid
Seats aligners in the back (posterior) teeth zone.
For your safety:
- Chewies are a consumable item, replace them as soon as they lose elasticity or show signs of breaking.
- Clean with water after each use and store in your case to avoid contamination.
- Chewies can be autoclaved at 134°C, or sterilised using direct sunlight.
- Avoid disinfectant sprays or liquids, as these may damage the material.
- Do not use a hook or chewie if it, or its packaging, is damaged or deformed.
- Do not operate the removal hook vigorously, as this can damage your aligner.
- Always follow your dentist's or orthodontist's advice for clinical use.
Storage
Hooks and chewies are reusable. Store in a clean, dry, ventilated space at room temperature, with no more than 80% relative humidity and no corrosive gas.
Maintenance
Keep your removal hook out of direct sunlight. Chewies can be sterilised using direct sunlight.
Transport & Storage
Prevent knocks, pressure or deformation during transport and storage.
