You can use the same solution for up to 6 days.

We recommend using a container with a lid (e.g. the Blakmint leakproof case) so the liquid cannot evaporate and dust cannot accumulate in the container.

Remember brushing - it’s an important part of cleaning oral devices!

The product is designed for daily use.

If using the liquid solution with the blakmint retainer case, the bottle will last up to 10 months if reused for 6 days!!

The following ratio of solution to water should be used in conjunction with the blakmint case:

  • 15% solution to 85% water

  • 5ml of solution to 30ml of water

The following ratio should be used when using any other container at a ratio of

15% solution/85% water:

15% solution is - 15 ml of solution with 85ml of water (100ml)

15% solution is - 22ml of solution with 128ml of water (150ml)

Soak at least 20 minutes.

The product is designed for daily use.

If the device requires more effective cleaning, you can mix the solution with a ratio of 1:1, however, use a strong solution only occasionally.

We don’t recommend leaving your retainer in the cleaning solution overnight every day. The solution is designed for short soaks only, and prolonged exposure to cleaning agents can gradually dull or weaken retainer materials. All retainer cleaners contain active chemicals to remove buildup, so this applies to any brand.

It’s fine if it’s left in overnight occasionally, but for regular use please follow the recommended soak time and then store the retainer either in plain cool water or dry in its case.

  • Concentrated formula lasts up to 3 months when used daily or up to 10 months inconjunction with our case.

  • Prepared solution can be reused for 6 days.

  • Usable for at least 2 years once opened and stored out of direct sunlight.

  • Store in a closed bottle, at room temperature, away from sunlight.

  • If stored properly, the product stays usable for up to 2 years.

  • If the product gets frozen, it is reusable even after thawing. However, remember to check that the packaging has not broken, and shake the bottle before use. The dye may precipitate to the bottom after freezing, but this is not harmful.
